WHAT TO EXPECT
Guests will be able to completely immerse themselves in light and sound over a 1.5 km walking trail, with the option to stop and enjoy seasonal refreshments from carefully selected food and drink stalls along the way.

WHAT IS WINTER LIGHTS?
Skansens’ history and surroundings come to life through over a dozen large light installations. Stunning light effects and atmospheric soundscapes make every step of the approximately 1.5 kilometre walk a unique and magical experience. Additionally, you can stop along the way and enjoy a seasonal refreshment from one of our carefully selected food and drink stalls.

You purchase tickets via Eventim, which is the official ticket seller. First, select the date and time, and then select the number of tickets.

WHY DO I NEED TO DECIDE WHEN I WILL VISIT IN ADVANCE?
To provide all visitors with the ultimate experience and at the same time protect the beautiful environment, we have limited the number of visitors on-site at the same time.
CAN I BUY TICKETS ON-SITE?
As tickets are valid for different days and times, we recommend that you purchase your tickets in advance. To make the experience as sustainable as possible, tickets can only be purchased digitally.

CAN I CHANGE THE DATE AND TIME ON MY TICKET?
If there is availability, the date and time can be adjusted. Contact the ticket provider Eventim for further assistance. Some administrative fees may apply.
WHAT HAPPENS IF I ARRIVE EARLIER/LATER THAN MY BOOKED TIME?
Plan your visit according to the time you booked. We may ask you to wait if you are too early, as we have a limited number of visitors at each time slot. If you miss your booked time, we may ask you to wait until we have space for you. We cannot guarantee a spot if you do not arrive at the scheduled time, and purchased tickets may be used without being able to see Winter Lights.

GETTING TO SKANSEN
Here you will find information on how to get to Skansen by car, public transportation, and bicycle.
CYCLING OR WALKING
Cross Djurgårdsbron (the Djurgården Bridge) and follow Djurgårdsvägen past the Nordic Museum and Gröna Lund to reach Skansen. The walk from Djurgårdsbron is approximately 1 kilometer.
PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION
- – Tram line 7 runs from T-Centralen to Djurgården.
- – Bus number 67 runs from Odenplan to Skansen. You can also take bus number 69 or 76 to Djurgårdsbron and then walk the remaining distance (950 meters).
- – Ferry line 82 operates between Slussen - Skeppsholmen - Djurgården and stops at Allmänna gränd, 400 meters from Skansen.

BY CAR
Unfortunately, we do not have any parking spaces at Skansen. The closest parking options are available at the Vasa Museum, Bellmansro (near Rosendal), Strandvägen, or Narvavägen.
Accessible parking:
There are three parking spaces on Skansen's premises for those with disability permits. Arrive at the Sollidsporten entrance, and the staff will guide you accordingly. Please note that there is a risk of the spaces being occupied, and we cannot guarantee availability.
WILL THERE BE A CLOAKROOM OR STORAGE FACILITY?
There will not be a possibility to leave anything on site.
CAN I BRING MY PET?
Unfortunately, Winter Lights is not suitable for pets such as dogs. Even though the event is taking place in a park, there will be large crowds and gatherings that not all pets can handle. The light installations may also blink and change colors rapidly and will be accompanied by various sounds. Please leave your pets at home where they feel safe.
Guide, signal, and assistance dogs are welcome. During the visit, it should be evident that the dog is a working dog by wearing a service vest.
Before the visit, the dog owner/handler must sign a declaration certifying that the dog is vaccinated against distemper and parvovirus infection and does not show symptoms of infectious disease. The form is available at the entrances.
CAN I TAKE PHOTOGRAPHS?
You are welcome to take as many photographs as you like and share them for private use. Please feel free to use the hashtag #WinterLights.
I AM A PROFESSIONAL PHOTOGRAPHER. CAN I ALSO TAKE PICTURES WITH MY PROFESSIONAL CAMERA?
All professional photography needs to be approved by Winter Lights beforehand. Please contact us via email before your visit.
SAFETY AND SECURITY
Winter Lights is a safe event to visit. We take safety and security very seriously. We have hosts and guards stationed at several fixed locations as well as hosts who move around the entire Winter Lights area. You will easily recognize them by their clothing and friendly demeanor.
WILL THERE BE LOUD VOLUMES AND FLASHING LIGHTS?
Some light installations are fixed in their glow and color, while others blink and change colors. Music and sound will also be present throughout Winter Lights, but always within the guidelines set by the Public Health Agency.
I WANT TO VISIT WINTER LIGHTS + SKANSEN
If you want to experience the rest of Skansen during your visit, you can purchase a combination ticket that is valid for both Winter Lights and the rest of Skansen.
WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBILITY
Winter Lights accessible by wheelchair, but keep in mind that Skansen is partly hilly and it can be difficult to get around on wet and snowy ground.

Both alcoholic and non-alcoholic options will be available at selected locations on Winter Lights.

I don't eat animal products. Is there anything tasty for me to eat?
Absolutely, and as always at our events, there will be a wide range of vegetarian and vegan menus available.
Allergies
We will provide alternatives for the most common allergies. However, as this is a temporary event, we cannot always guarantee menus for all allergies.
Can I bring my own food and beverages?
No outside food and beverages will be allowed inside the Winter Light trail area. If you have specific dietary requirements due to illness, you will be able to bring it in with a doctor's certificate.
Water bottles are allowed. The bottle should be transparent and have a cap.
Merchandise & other items
Along Winter Lights and at selected locations, there will be sales of crafts, interior design details, and of course, products with a Christmas theme. In addition, there will also be a nice selection of souvenirs from your experience at Winter Lights, all with sustainability in mind.
